First Unitarian Universalist Church of Wichita has a proud history of providing and supporting liberal religion in Wichita and the surrounding communities. Founded in 1887, First UU members include new and longtime members including some from multi-generational families.

We look forward to meeting you! We are a caring, joyful, spiritual, and diverse congregation. We are proud to be a welcoming congregation that respects your spiritual journey and your life directions. We offer outstanding religious exploration programs for children and adults. Our Sunday services reflect thought-provoking sermons and a variety of readings, music and service leaders. Additional programs are available for those interested in Buddhism or pagan ritual. Regular church activities include social action, games, crafts, book clubs, potluck meals and much more.

Our home is a fully accessible church designed and constructed with green principles and materials, built specially for us! If you have questions/comments or concerns about the ministry of the Church, please contact Charles Merrifield, Chair of the Committee on Ministry at 316-688-5352.
