Annie Welsbacher brings us an adaptation of “Return Again” by the Rev. Joan Javier-Duval, Unitarian Church of Montpelier, VT. Rev. Joan ties the UU commitment to the free and responsible search for truth and meaning to both the Jewish tradition of self-examination and atonement during Rosh Hashanah and to Mabon marking the beginning of autumn. She invites us to mindfully engage in spiritual practices that allow us to slow down, return to the essentials, “and reconnect with what is sacred within us and around us.”
