A Chalice Dimly Lit

Rev. Joe Mohr is back in the pulpit with his monthly presentation.   The history of our chalice is a symbol of solidarity with the Jewish holocaust. It was a simple oil lamp placed in windows designating safe houses along paths escaping nazi Germany. A guiding light in the darkness.   This greatly shapes our legacy as a community standing against oppression. But how bright does it shine in light of current events? As we seek to understand the cycle of oppressor and oppressed we too must look at ourselves with unbiased eyes of history.

We’ll have special fiddle music from Sarah Jane Naillon.
