Could Creativity and Imagination Be Just Too Scary and Subversive?

Although the church is closed through January, please join us online for the live Sunday Service using Zoom Worship Invitation.  You may also like to follow along using the Order of Service.  Dr. Robert Minor presents “Could Creativity and Imagination Be Just Too Scary and Subversive?” In a 1929 magazine interview Albert Einstein said, “I am enough of the artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.” In his presentation Dr. Minor asks if a brilliant thinker like Einstein recognized the priority of imagination, and what has happened to us to stifle and devalue our imaginings? Join us as we are encouraged to grapple with the question of whether or not we are free enough from our system’s unimaginative demands to indulge in imagining other possibilities.
