EcoFestIt’s Easy Being Green!

EcoFest happened annually before the pandemic and will be back! When we can once again gather together to celebrate the environment and eco-stewardship and are able to organize the event, you will read about it here. We do not currently have a date scheduled for the next Ecofest. Each year First Unitarian Universalist church opens its doors to welcome the public to its building. Our goal is to make sure that everyone who attends will leave our building knowing at least one small change they can make to their daily life that will help maintain and sustain our environment. We wear green, think green, and eat green. This is a family friendly celebration that showcases eco-stewardship and eco-innovation. Food, music, eco-demonstrations, children’s activities, vendors of upcycled and recycled products, advocacy groups, and environmentally aware art are all a part of this amazing day. We welcome exhibitors and vendors from any organization that provide products and/or services that contribute directly to environmental sustainability. For more information, contact the church.

EcoFest is inspired by the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Statement of Conscience on Environmental Justice and our seventh principle: “We affirm and promote respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.”
