The Helianthus String Quartet will perform a special farewell concert. The two main works will be the Rachmaninoff Unfinished String Quartet and the String Quartet #1 in G Minor by Dr. Walter Mays, WSU Board of Trustees Distinguished professor of music composition and Pulitzer Prize nominee. The Helianthus musicians are either graduating or moving on to other things. The concert is also a fund-raiser for family medical expenses for one of the performers: no set admission fee is required, but donations will be very welcome. A small reception will follow the concert.
