The book selection is “This I Believe: The Personal Philosophies of Remarkable Men and Women.” This collection of credos was published in 2006, in association with NPR. Eighty men and women, famous and unknown, accepted NPR’s invitation to write a personal credo expressing the core principles that guide their lives. They run the gamut from “Be Cool to the Pizza Dude” by Sarah Adams, “Unleashing the Power of Creativity” by Bill Gates, and “The Elusive Yet Holy Core” by Kathy Dahlen, to “When Ordinary People Achieve Extraordinary Things” by Jody Williams.
