We will discuss Flannery O’Connor’s short story “All That Rises Must Converge.” We’ll also share some aspects about her life and her writing. She is considered one of American’s greatest fiction writers, with an impressive body of fiction, two novels and more than thirty short stories. Her work is usually set in the rural American South, often explores alienation, and is concerned with the relationship between the individual and God. She was an apologist for Roman Catholicism, which can be a challenge to some comfort zones. We meet at 11:30 for a brown bag lunch; discussion begins around 12 noon. All are welcome.
