The book for August is “The Day the World Came to Town” by Jim DeFede.  When 38 jetliners bound for the U.S. were forced to land in Canada on September 11, 2001, the citizens of this small community were called upon to care for the thousands of distraught travelers.  A brown-bag lunch is at 11:30 a.m. followed by the book discussion at noon.
