We are fortunate to welcome the new flute instructor at WSU and new principal flutist with the Wichita Symphony Orchestra, Carmen Leomoine. She will be playing flute duets with Chastity Pawloski, the symphony piccolo player. Violist Pedro Oviedo will perform Johannes Brahm’s “Trio in A Minor for Viola, Cello, and Piano” with WSU’s Op. 111. He will be joined by other Op. 111 members: Maria Begacheva, cellist, and Patrick Orr, pianist. We are honored again to welcome the symphony’s assistant concert master, violinist, Evgeny Zvonnikov. He will perform “Partita No. 3 in E Major” by J. S. Bach. Following these beautiful chamber music pieces, The Greater Sedgwick Klezmer Orchestra will play some Klez, a vibrant Jewish music from the Yiddish Tradition. A delightful afternoon of beautifully performed music is promised. All are invited to this concert with a reception. A donation of $10 is suggested.
