We reduce our environmental footprint through:

• Green Sanctuary Church
  First UU was certified as a Green Sanctuary Church in the 2000s. Wherever feasible, we observe and have observed Green principles in the construction, maintenance, and landscaping of First UU, including the establishment of a certified Monarch butterfly habitat.
• Solar panels to provide part of our electricity
• Composting to reduce the amount of trash going to a landfill
• An induction cooktop, which is more efficient and reduces heat in the kitchen.

We speak up and educate ourselves and others:
